Role Overview
A large international digital entertainment holding is looking for a Head of Retention to develop and scale retention strategies in African markets. The company has been on the market for over 15 years, boasts a strong Retention team, and has well-established processes. This is a product-focused role with a direct impact on LTV, ARPU, and repeat deposits.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement retention strategies for African GEOs;• Manage the player lifecycle: onboarding → reactivation → loyalty;• Set up and optimize communications: CRM / push / SMS / email / in-app;• Work with bonus logic: free spins, cashback, reload, VIP mechanics;• Segment users by behavior, deposits, activity;• Analyze key metrics: Retention Rate, LTV, ARPU, DAU/MAU, Churn;• Launch and analyze A/B tests (communications, bonuses, timings);• Adapt strategies to the specifics of African markets;• Interact with product, analytics, support, and marketing teams.
Requirements & Qualifications
• 2+ years of experience as a Lead Retention / CRM Manager;• Mandatory experience in the interactive entertainment industry (gaming platforms / sports analytics);• Understanding of African market specifics (payment methods, player behavior, local peculiarities);• Experience with CRM systems and automated funnels;• Ability to work with data and analytics;• Experience in building segmentations and personalized scenarios;• Self-reliance, systemic thinking, results-orientation.
