Role Overview
Pragmatica is a design team renowned for its strong management. The company specializes in digital design for various products and major corporations, including VK, Yandex, Sber, Alfa, and others. The team comprises over 100 highly skilled specialists, fostering a warm work environment and a culture that encourages initiative.
Key Responsibilities
• Edit vertical videos (Reels) for social media on design-related topics: case studies, explanatory videos for designers, tool reviews;• Work with existing materials: video, graphics, texts, and motion elements, carefully combining them within the video;• Add subtitles, text animation, graphic elements, and transitions;• Adapt existing visual and motion solutions to the short vertical video format;• Monitor editing dynamics, pace, and attention retention;• Consider the specifics of the vertical format and safe content placement zones on platforms;• Prepare videos for publication according to platform requirements;• Work in After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience in editing vertical videos for social media or experience in motion design with a strong understanding of editing;• Possess solid composition skills and the ability to enhance frames with graphics;• Understand the fundamentals of composition: accurately place text and graphic elements within the frame, considering visual hierarchy and safe zones for vertical formats;• Be able to find expressive editing solutions and work with video pace, dynamics, and accents;• Proficiently use After Effects and independently work with animation, graphics, and ready-made visual solutions;• Ability to transfer techniques from motion design or other editing formats to vertical videos;• Ability to work with existing materials and template solutions: adapt, combine, and reuse them for various tasks;• Have relevant works in a portfolio: strong Reels or motion design works demonstrating good editing and graphic element handling;• Be ready to understand the team's approach to editing and motion, and independently apply it after an introductory immersion;• Possess high editing speed and the ability to work efficiently with high-volume tasks: one video is allocated no more than 5–7 hours depending on complexity;• Experience working with subtitles, text animation, and basic graphics;• Motion design and 2D animation skills are a plus;• Experience with AI tools for editing is a plus;• Proficiency in Adobe Audition and DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
